Required Experience
- Excellent knowledge of UNIX configuration, operation and maintenance
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Servers, Linux Servers.
- Excellent knowledge of backup software, procedures, tools, standards and libraries.
- Excellent knowledge of UNIX NT Integration services and tools, monitoring tools, storage management and solutions, UNIX clusters, Windows clusters and Grid computing.
- Excellent knowledge of cabling systems, data center premises management techniques
- Good knowledge of CISCO routers, firewalls and switches
- Good knowledge of Servers Hardware HP, IBM, SUN …etc

Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement all network servers including mail servers, web servers, directory servers... Etc and disaster recovery plans for the whole network.
- Perform servers and network administration, upgrade and maintenance of H/W, LAN/WAN, DNS, WINS, DHCP, IIS, MS ISA Server, Web Servers, MS Exchange Server, Windows Servers, Network Operating System, day-to-day operation of All Data centre premises, backup and restore of all Data Centre Electronic Devices
- Establishes and satisfies highly challenging and complex system-wide information system security (ISS) requirements based upon the analysis of user, operational, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
- Supports the development, implementation, and operation of security technologies, processes, and procedures in the infrastructure.
- Administration and Management of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) Security, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Antivirus Systems, Anti-spam Systems using vulnerability assessment (VA) techniques, and other security boundary technologies and processes
- Responsible for day to day, operation of all high end enterprise systems (UNIX, Windows, Linux, etc).
- Interface with vendor support, Infrastructure team support to resolve system issues.
- Perform performance tuning, systems monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Install, configure and manage large multi-node clusters on hard/soft/logical system partitions.
- Responsible for storage administration (EMC Storage), taking systems out of service and putting them back in service, systems trouble shooting and maintenance.
- Define and implement security related services and data center operation standards.
- Inventory management of All IT hardware and Software.

Education & Qualifications
- 10+ years is designing and implementing a large scale WAN with different WAN types
- Strong testing and troubleshooting methodology and high availability implementation/operation experience.
- 8+ years in Cisco (Cisco Switched Edge and Core Switches, Routers, ASA…etc) Windows and Linux Administration
- Min 4+ Years experience administrating a capacity as outlined in the responsibilities.
- Excellent knowledge with backup tools, backup libraries and backup procedures.
- experience with network hardware, cabling systems and network technologies
- experience in Server’s hardware management configuration, and installation
- 5+ Years in Data center management role

The Position

· Proactively develop the business to achieve the input and margin budget by identifying and targeting new customers
· Liaise with regional agents to ensure capitalisation on the business infrastructure within the region and act as the main point of contact within the business for customers and agents in territory
· Manage the regional installation list of our client's equipment and develop competitor equipment list and maintain an accurate current database of all live order prospects in the region
· Manage the tender list and ensure that all sectors of the market are given appropriate sales coverage and customer visits
· Maintain close contact with the Regional Sales Manager and commercial department to identify imminent large projects within each region and report on future market analysis
· Assist in the preparation of Company literature and relevant sales literature in the native language in response to customer or agent requests or in the promotion of the Company
· Give technical presentations to third parties, customers and agents in the territory on relevant topics
· Assist in the production of business plans for the territory

The ideal candidate will have:

· Proactive approach to selling with extensive direct experience in engineering sales within territory
· Comprehensive knowledge of the territorial spares and service market
· Good technical knowledge covering all product ranges (principally pumps, turbines and compressors)
· Strong existing relationship with key customers in the territorial market is desirable
· Excellent communication skills with ability to speak English and the native dialect
· Both verbal and written communication skills are required
· Fully qualified engineer is preferable

This role will be based within North Africa, where the chosen candidate currently lives. This is NOT an expatriate package and will therefore only suit local candidates. The salary on offer will be based on a basic with a strong commission.

Business Development Program Officer (AMIDEAST)

The Business Development Program Officer (BDPO) supports HQ and field office business development efforts. (S)He assists in the coordination of AMIDEAST’s new business development activities with AMIDEAST’s field office directors and the directors of AMIDEAST’s functional program units, including Advising and Testing Services, Exchange Programs, English Language Training Programs, Institutional Development Projects and Programs for Americans.


Review relevant RFPs released by U.S. government agencies and international donors; assess RFPs for appropriateness to AMIDEAST’s experience, expertise, and ability to win; assist in the exploration of partnership options; and assist in the preparation of RFP responses
Contribute to HQ development of concepts papers and full project proposals building on identified opportunities and donor interests.
Draft proposal sections focused on staffing, project management, organizational capacity, past performance, and other sections as appropriate.
Assist AMIDEAST’s field staff in developing proposals and budgets, and contribute to the review of field office budgets submitted to HQ for approval.
Assist in the identification of opportunities for AMIDEAST programs and services in the Middle East/North Africa region through research and networking contacts.
Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time-to-time
Remains current on changes within the industry through publications and continuing education
Projects a qualified appearance and cooperative attitude, maintains high ethical standards of confidentiality when representing AMIDEAST to ensure a professional representation at all times
