Travel Counselor

Main Tasks, Duties & Accountabilities:
Tasks:
§ Converse with customer to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
§ Compute cost of travel and accommodations, using calculator, computer, carrier tariff books, and hotel rate books, or quote package tour's costs.
§ Book transportation and hotel reservations, tours, and handles all visa arrangements.
§ Telephone customer to advise of any changes with travel conveyance or to confirm reservation.
§ Follows up on waiting list reservations & pending travel procedures with clients/accounts.
§ Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by the company.
§ Provide customer with brochures and publications containing travel information, such as local customs, points of interest, or foreign country regulations.
§ Print or request transportation carrier tickets, using computer printer system or system link to travel carrier.
§ Handle clients' Technical problems.
§ Adhere to all operating, quality and security procedures.

§Responsible for delivering technical and procedural activities to customers such as but not limited to; planning, designing, executing projects, and attending meetings related to infrastructure projects.

*Volunteers Needed *

We are a group of thinkers and activists who are willing to create a new civilization organization and planting the seeds for a new way of living in one of the poorest communities in Egypt.

The main objective is to ensure that a SUSTAINABLE PROJECT is created rather than only giving out hand-outs that have a short-term effect. In addition, another objective of the project is to ensure that rather than just feeding the people, they are involved in feeding themselves. This will instill a sense of ownership in the project and in the benefits that they receive.

*Research & segmentation committee:*
Develop research campaigns to identify key problems that Antar's community are facing according to their priorities in order to identify their needs:

- Create job opportunities for young professionals
- Teach new professions for young people who drop out of school so they don't turn into "Arzekaya" has small income and hence lead to a deterioration of their illness, and poor environmental situation.
- Assess water sources and the presence of sewage to find alternative humanitarian solutions
- Assess the diseases that afflict those families in this community to provide appropriate education for them

The research officer's job is to:
- Develop indicators and methodologies
- Create need assessments
- Design and develop research processes, frameworks, methods and tools with Antar community.
- Create database contains all the information of Antar inhabitants of (numbers/ names/age/income/jobs/level of education...etc)
- Prepare analytical reports

*The research officer needs help in the phase of processing the framework*.
We need volunteers to do need assessments in Antar community to get the above mentioned information to enable us to identify the sort of help this community needs and identify type of suitable projects that could recruit large number of SA community.

Training on how to conduct the need assessment

Participation in the foundation's activities, conferences and workshops.

Responsibilities:

This is a mid-management position that reports directly to the sales manager and supervises 04 other sales representative, s/he will be the second person in the sales department with responsibilities for doing in/outdoor sales activities on a daily basis as well as office management

Job opportunity for communication experts in Egypt

Public Affairs Group is a danish management consultancy firm, working for among others the EU Commission. We are currently to bid for a communication development project in Cairo and Alexandria, and are looking for 2 local Communication Experts to participate. The key skills and experience needed are:

* Master or bachelor degree in business administration, IT, economics, journalism, etc.
* A total of minimum 10 years work experience, and at least 5 years experience in training, teaching, coaching, instruction, etc.

Training delivery experts for EU-sponsored project in Egypt

Training Delivery Expert Roles

The European Institute, Denmark, and Public Affairs Group, who are two leading Danish firms providing management consultancy services to the EU Commission, have been asked to bid for an EU-sponsored project in Egypt.

The purpose of the project is to support the Egyptian Customs Authorities to be able to communicate more effectively, internally and externally. A key element in the project is training of Customs Authority staff in communications skills.

We are currently working to staff a full project team, and have a strong candidate for the team lead role. We now need 2 local, Egyptian resources, with strong experience in training delivery/communication management to cover the training delivery expert-roles.

To be qualified, the resources should match the following skills requirements:

Ø At least a bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
Ø A total of minimum 10 years work experience (and at least 5 years experience with delivery of training, e.g. as a teacher/trainer/instructor/management consultant, etc.)
Ø Fluent in Egyptian/Arabic language, and a good command of English
Ø Ability to work in a multi-national environment
Ø Experience from previous EU-projects is an advantage

The project is expected to start september 11th, 2006. Both local experts are to deliver a total of 75 work days in the period from september 11th until july 2007.

Job Description:

The South Sinai Regional Development Programme (SSRDP) is financed by the European Union (EU) for the benefit of the South Sinai Governorate. SSRDP is a five-year programme which aims to:

SSRDP needs to contract energetic, committed and hardworking candidates for the following positions at the Programme Support Unit (PSU) which is based at El Tur City in South Sinai.

1. SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST – Component 1

His/her responsibilities include but are not restricted to

Procurement and contracting of civil works, supplies and services including the preparation of the Terms of Reference, technical specifications and tender dossiers.
Development and implementation of a monitoring system for ensuring contractor’s compliance with the terms, conditions and implementation schedules of the contract(s) awarded to him.

B.Sc. or higher degree in engineering.

3. FINANCIAL SPECIALIST IN ACCOUNTING

All accounting related activities such as maintaining the books of accounts, ledgers and financial and accounting records, treasury, payroll, monthly and other periodic general ledger and accounts reconciliations, tax return preparation, if any, budgeting and other financial and accounting activities in accordance with the Financial Agreements with the donating agency. It should be noted that all records and books of account are to be prepared in English.

B.Sc. in accountancy
Proven experience of at least seven years in a similar position and presently employed with the Civil Service.
Proven skills in computerized accounting on the accrual based accounting system.
Computer literate with knowledge of, and working experience with MS Office and accounting software.

4. Communication and Public awareness Specialist

Key functions of the specialist will be to design and manage the Programme website (www.eu-ssrdp.org), prepare e-newsletters, promote stakeholders participation, publish articles, and develop information products of value to stakeholders.

--Purpose and Scope
Takes full responsibility of diagnosing and resolving network
problems, ensuring that account is taken of agreed levels of service
and the needs for quality, security, availability and safety,
utilizing appropriate specialized techniques, tools, methods or
standards. This includes carrying out full responsibility of
planning and design, providing advice and guidance to IS/IT
management in the planning phases of information systems, to ensure
that communications requirements (particularly network response
times, volumetric information and security requirements ) are

--Accountabilities

-Develop and ensures that business continuity planning policy
requirements for Network are embedded in all relevant IS and other

-Ensures the provision of the information necessary to manage
capacity. Manages the production of quality documented capacity
plans as well as formulates the basis of submissions for procurement
of network component.
-Manages changes to the live infrastructure and contributes to the
evaluation or establishment of the change management system,
ensuring Network conformance to documentation standards by analyzing
change records and its Network impact to determine trends and
problems.
-Evaluates existing configuration Management (CM) systems, and
designs, and implements new/improved systems. Produces production
of requisite CM plans, standards and procedures. Evaluates and
recommends proprietary CM tools.
-Manages, installation, upgrading and maintains effective use of LAN
and WAN for communication of data. Develops standards on network
quality, quantity and integrity.
-Ensures that network traffic, performance and quality of service
provided are monitored and reviewed. Controls usage of established
methods, hardware and software tools and procedures for planning,
installing, configuring, commissioning, monitoring and investigating
the network.
-Takes full technical responsibility for complex communication
strategy, standards and all stages of development/implementation of
HW/SW life cycle.
-Take responsibility for delivering complex IS Network projects
ensuring implementation of change controls, quality of delivery, and
risk plans to overcome any arising significant problems, as well as
liaising / advising with IS Management on projects Budgets.
-Analyses Network incidents and problems, establish trends and
formulates plans an strategies to investigate and resolve incidents
and problems. Ensures minimum occurrence and improve process of
management policy..
-Takes full technical responsibility for the Network testing
function of a project, carries out investigations to find suitable
Network testing tools and methods and define Network test strategies.
-Analyses and documents the results of all Audits interviews
conducted, and recommend corrective actions as appropriate, ensuring
compliance with IS Audits Standards.
-Provides specialist advice, and guidance on the development,
documentation, application of IS Standards, procedures and the
interpretation of relevant national or international standards,
checking for compliance against quality systems, and external
standards where appropriate.
-Negotiate IS Network related service delivery with user and ensure
effectiveness costs of the operational systems, taking necessary;
action to ensure that quality of Network service, performance,,
availability and costs targets are met and prepare investment
proposal to meet changes in demand
-Takes full responsibility for the provisions of service level
achieved in comparison with the targets set in SLA's ensuring
significant failures are brought to attention of IS Management.
-Reviews the technical aspects related to department's tendering,
contracting and procurement activities related to Networking.
-Participates in the training and development of assigned UAE
national employees. Includes monitoring and reporting on progress
and counseling employees, as required.
-Knows the Company health, safety and environment policy,
procedures, regulations and objectives as related to area of
responsibility.


-- Minimum Requirements.

-12 years' experience in the design development and deployment of IT
network solution. Preferably within the oil and gas industry.

--Basic Function and Scope

Participates in the analysis of Fields/Terminal user requirements.

Job Summary
